Rose Gold Trend Makes Its Way Into The Home
Forever a popular colour with jewellery designers, and now offered as an iPhone cover, it’s no surprise that rose gold is making its way into the home. The metallic pink is now everywhere, and interior designers and leading home retailers are quickly catching on to the trend.
House and Home have shown just how beautiful a living room with rose gold accessories can look, with numerous popular bloggers such as Zoella injecting this style into their homes. In an article with Kansas City, Stephanie Gamble, an interior designer who owns The House Downtown in Belvedere Square, expressed how she sees the use of gold hues growing in home decor.
Gamble said: “I love all the golds coming back — even the brass, bronze, copper and rose golds. For so long it was the silver, but … gold has an everlasting elegance that is warm and sophisticated and, of course, sparkly.”
Gold Is Back And Here To Stay
Those hoping to replicate this trend in their own home should look for flatware and glassware with rose gold accents, or find a statement accessory such as vintage lighting which will add a classic element to your room of choice. Lamps or chandeliers are a great way to incorporate any metal into the décor, like with the copper finish on the pendant set in the main image of this blog.
It’s worth noting that many interior designers recommend using rose gold sparingly in order to maximise its appearance and prevent the room from looking too trendy. For instance you could add subtle gold accessories, such as this bottle stopper in vintage gold.
However, in contrast, some designers like to use the metallic pink in big and bold ways, pairing with different colour and texture combinations. For example, white marble, sequins or velvet are popular choices within the industry.
As a warm metal, now is the perfect time to begin introducing rose gold into your home, with the changing seasons and upcoming festive period. However, this is definitely a trend which is here to stay for the foreseeable future, making all rose gold items investment pieces.
