St Mawes Cornwall
St Mawes is a pretty fishing village on the tip of the Roseland Peninsula but one of the reasons we keep going back is because it’s the home of our favourite place to be, yes ever! The Hotel Tresanton was originally a yatchsmans club but was lovingly restored and re-invented over the course of two years by Olga Polizzi. Floors were stripped, bold stripy fabrics and baroque style antiques were added. There is tongue and groove a plenty all tastefully painted in Farrow & Ball (what else?). In the elegant blue and white dining room there’s more of a nod to coastal interior design with shell wall and pendant lights, chunky t-light pebbles on each table and that view….well suffice to say it cannot fail to lift the spirits. My Hotel Tresanton mood board above combines all my favourite things about this very special, understatedly elegant place. I hope you enjoy looking at the images and that you get to go there one day.
